How tricky is it to install a leaf to a leaf pack? I've been wanting to get the extra leaf for my dakars now that I have my tent and stuff..

Not very tricky at all. Just unholt the springs from the axle, clamp the pack with a c clamp. Loosen the center pin. Pull the pack apart, add the new leaf, clamp the pack again and install the new longer center pin.

Depends on the leaf. Like mentioned earlier, the icon AAL needs some modifying. The Dakar shouldn't require any modifying. When I put my Dakar AAL in years ago I used 2 c-clamps. Take tire off, c-clamp each end, remove the u-bolts, perch, and bump stop. Now, remove the bolt that holds the leafs together. Loosen the c-clamps until you have enough room to slide in the aa. Reinstall the leaf bolt and all other parts. I think it took me about an hour and half, including jacking and down jacking the truck.

Pretty cool, only took three weeks to get my custom plate here in AZ. With all those prisoners stamping plates in Cali, you'd think they would be faster.

I still have to order mine and such. Trying to figure out if that leaf adds lift as well or just lets them hold some more weight. I would liken to go to longer bumpers and a longer shock while I have it apart.

@Techoma we do need to get together one of these days bud! I have your .22s still. :)

I think we are gonna be pretty busy with Chads @Fiend13 install Saturday. I would say come on by, but dont want to bite off more than we can chew and have someone stuck because something took longer than expected.

although, we could tackle both at the same time I guess, but we may need m,ore hands on deck..

Yeah brotha I definitely dont want to have too much going on. I have a hard enough time focusing as it is. Bring another truck, a bunch of parts and like minded individuals. I would get nothing done but some beer drinking...
