99% of 3rd gen trucks that are lifted do not use diff drops

Yeah, a diff drop shouldn't do anything to help with vibes, only CV angles. With that being said, a diff drop won't hurt you at all and will help reduce your CV angles. Who knows, maybe it'll help with the vibes too!

The truck turned out really nice! Thank you so much for posting pictures Todd. I will keep looking around too to see if I can help narrow down the vibes for you as well.

Thx Marie, I'll keep looking for a solution also, and I'll post more pics when rims and tires come in

No, my buddy swore it was the tires, rotated them, and still vibrating. My buddy's going to bring something over Thur to check cv angles, and soon as diff drop comes in I'll put it on. Makes me sorta regret lifting. Suppose to take truck in for 10k oil change fri, hate to say anything to them, but might have to. I figured more guys would have had an input on the thread, since there's so many lifted trucks out there. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate all the advise I have already received. I thank all the paticapting parties

I would like to go higher with mine but that is the same reason dealing with the vibration.

What all have you done to try and track the vibration down?

I only went with 884 coils on the front with 5100's. lifted me 2 inches. Have not touch the rear yet. I have no vibrations. That is reason I don't want to make it higher. My truck handles and rides great. If I do anything I'm adding a AAL to the rear.

UPDATE!! After talking with 4 wheel parts, they told me to make sure when they did alignment, they broke all alignment cams loose, because they have seen them freeze up, even on new trucks. So looked under truck at them and two of them I could tell weren't touched, and one was very loose, so tightened it up and took back for realignment and vibration that I can tell is all but gone!!! Still waiting for diff drop to show up but think problems solved. Thanks for everyone that chimed in HELP.

That's good news. I would be upset with the alignment shop.

Bad part about it is I know the guy. I just wonder if it was tight when did the alignment because I could tell a wrench hadn't been on it, was froze up, then broke loose? Who know, just can see him leaving it that way as he's probably their best tech. Oh well fixed now, now waiting on rims to get here.

Yeah that's the big thing it's all fixed. I'd let your friend know not be mean about it but as a growing process it's how we all get better. He can take and apply it going forward then.
