Well moab prep continues. Got the rear shock mounts tweaked a bit last weekend with the help of @Milota95 and also cycled with the forklift. Couldn’t have done it without you brotha:hattip:

Today I completely flushed all old brake fluid from the system and bled them, also went over all the zero fittings, nuts/bolts, new plastic fender flare clips, and WD40’d the linkage for the door handles

    MOAB UTAH TRIP REPORT

Spring break was coming up quick and the 4x4 club at school was again doing their annual moab trip. Having never gone to moab before I figured this would be a great opportunity to go check it out and run some trails. Leaving friday at our original departure time of 10am soon turned into 11am and then 12am, never the less. We did leave on friday to moab. The drive dragged on following slow jeeps to our campsite roughly 5 hours away. The campsite was right along the Colorado river with great views, not far from trails and no phone reception, the perfect get-away. (although I prefer a more remote site)

Arriving friday evening everyone rushed to get camp setup, jeep tops off, and dinner/fire going. We wrapped up early for a long day ahead the following day. Waking up bright eyed an bushy tailed we climbed in our rigs after a light breakfast of muffins and started the day ahead. We decided to run 7 mile rim which took a good portion of the day with frequent stops to try to hit the optional lines and obstacles. Although the rocks were super grippy, typical moab, I still can’t wait to throw the rear locker in. Going to be a night/day difference.

Sunday the jeepers decided to hit poison spider/golden spike/ gold bar rim and although I really wanted to give it a go. I opted to stay behind with another T4R to run hells revenge (which I really wanted to go on as well). Ill be back next year with a locker for the other trail.

Overall a great trip leaving me wishing to go on more trips this year and let the adventures always continue. Still waiting on another person to send me some pictures but here are some. Truck did great and only have to bend out the rotor dust shield (currently rubbing).

So after returning from moab a few new noises needed to be addressed. I had been hearing a grinding noise coming from the passenger front tire area and has assumed that it was the dust shield rubbing the caliper slightly (no I haven’t cut it yet). Got under the truck and bent it out some more... noise continued. Figured the cv was toast and would replace when I got home but figured id take it into a local shop first to get my slight braking issue resolved (soft pedal) but only sometimes and often when off-road.

I had bled the brakes twice and replaced all fluid and thought it was the MC or possibly brake booster. Dropped it by a local shop and told me that it was actually my wheel bearing. He also said that it was so bad it was making a grinding noise and causing a slight play in the front wheel which I had checked prior to the trip. Goes onto say that sometimes when braking the play in the wheel would cause the soft pedal feeling and would have to double tap the brakes for them to work properly.

Long story short the passenger front wheel bearing is getting replaced (seems like a PITA) and dont currently have the time. Hope it solves all the little issues :annoyed:
