It allows you to adjust the MAF, TPS, timing and have multiple maps.
It's faster to tune and more precise.
But it's expensive because you also need to buy the tuning software or pay a tuner and the supplied maps suck.
It's working really good and I'm still figuring it out.

Dollar for dollar the maf cal is hard to beat and really wakes up the 4.0.
It's an easy way to start tuning the Tacoma, just make small adjustments at a time (a few tenths) and save maps to new files.
Basically it runs lean in closed loop and really rich in open loop.
They will send you a good map to start with.

Cool. Must be a headache to have to tune it yourself. But in the same token it must be nice to have all those tuning options. Is the unichip the same as the bullydog?
I've been in contact with @Gadget@URD. Really good dude. I bought used and he still took the time to answer all my questions, on phone and email. Would you know if I can use the values in torque pro to tune the maf cal?

Basically if I can use the Afr values to help tune.

They are close.. but I can see a difference between my AFR readouts in Torque.. and my AFR gauge.. so idk if I would use the Torque numbers to tune..

Find your trim numbers short and long term.
and adjust to get them to them to 0.

But honestly seat of the pants works good, just tune 1 section at a time and about 2 tenths at a time.
Drive in live view to figure out the section you want to tune
When it feels worse back it down 1-2 tenths and your good.
    you have 4 basic sections:
    1. Idle
    2. part throttle/cruise
    3. acceleration
    4. full throttle
For full throttle do use 0-60 times and adjust for the best time.
The maf cal will be power vs mpg it's a direct trade off.
Having a wide band gauge would help for full throttle.

It tunes really fast because small adjustments make a big difference.
In closed loop will be in the 10-11 range and full throttle 9-10 range
