I've seen another thread about some UCA's but they're kind of back dated a bit. I've narrowed down my options for UCA'S to these 3.. IMO i've always leaned towards Camburg mainly because of the name and i've always heard good things about them. Then heard about TC and heard nothing but good things to say about them as well as Baja Kits. Wanting to know pro's and con's people have experienced with these. Truck use is mainly highway to be honest with the occasional trip out to the dunes and or dirt roads. Would appreciated some feedback! Thank you!

All three look great, but I have the total chaos ones and they're awesome. Alignment was easy, they make zero noise - no complaints.

I haven't even lifted my truck yet but I've been doing a lot of research on the matter like you have (in preparation), so take what I say with grain of salt. But from what I've read is Camburg seems like the best bang for the buck. They're basically the cheapest "High end" name brand UCA for the Tacoma and they also seem to provide very good clearance for aftermarket suspension, wheels etc. One other review I also read mentioned how the Camburg uniball is actually .25" in diameter larger than other aftermarket UCA's which allows for even more range of movement and supposedly improves strength. (assuming the other bits of your suspension are up to the task.)

Total chaos would be a close second for me. Light racing is also interesting for the price its hard to beat, however they're a regular BJ and I've read some instances of them cracking and breaking under heavy use.

all three are great just depends on which one you like the looks of more. I run camburg for the looks as well as their name in racing and toyota. the tc and camburg are basically the same cause of they are made from tubing and baja kits are boxed tubing. can't go wrong with either one though.

I like the boxed look of the Baja kits personally and they seem to be more rare on the road since they are still new. I don't think you would be sacrificing by going with any of these three.

Yeah I figured any of these would be a pretty solid choice, was just looking for some secondary opinions. Anyone have any squeaking issues with the Camburg's? That seems to be the only negative I've come across

A lot of squeaking issues relating to uni ball UCAs seem to be from improper maintenance. A special dry type grease should only be used and it seems a lot of people use something like WD40 lol. On the other hand some people seem to run them for years without noise. Climate and driving conditions are probably gonna have a large impact on this.

    never heard of baja kits.

But camburg or TC are great brands.

That stated.... you say your use is mainly highway, some dunes or dirt roads. You might look into a ball joint option like SPC or JBA arms.... much less maintenance to deal with and better adjustability (spc arms) vs uniballs.

    http://camburg.com/shop/suspension/...wd-05-17-performance-balljoint-upper-arm-kit/

Camubrg makes these which is a BJ option for $100 cheaper that the uniball

as others have said, been looking at this too and will be buying the camburg ones due to the larger uniball, it should give a bit more range of motion then the others.

Too bad the camburg arms. 1. use an OEM ball joint with less range of motion than a uniball (~60*) and 2. offer no extra adjustability like SPC arms.

FYI, Uniballs with misalignment spacers have a range of motion between 60-70* on average depending on the size and spacer setup. SPC ball joints are 80-83*.

FWIW, I went with JBA UCAs because I didn't want a ball joint. My trucks lives near the ocean and most of my offroading is on the beach so salt is a concern.

    Good luck with your decision!

    I think you mean uniball.

Most manufactures sell a cover for the top of the uniball (i dont think TC does for the following)... problem is moisture and stuff gets trapped in there and will actually wear the uniball out faster.

Whoops, you are correct. Too many types of balls...
