I messaged on eBay and they replied in about a day or two. Their number is on their eBay page. I also called and asked for John. He is aware of the thread and is quick to answer any questions.

Of course they are aware of the thread. They started it through deception.

"They" didn't start the thread. One person that is connected to the business did. Could be Cole, Sam, Billy, or whatever his real name is. My point was to let SphinX, who asked a question, know that John is familiar with the thread and can answer any questions. Makes it easier when you get someone familiar with the product and not just a salesman. Might come as a shock, but businesses employ multiple people, and not everyone at that business has time to surf TW and read almost 280 pages of nonsense about one of their hundreds of different products.

Please dont tell me you think there is a chance the guy who posted his deception did it without the knowledge of others in the company. It was dishonest and was made worse by the fact they never apologized after being caught. Yes, your point was to let him know they are aware of the thread but I think he should also know he would be dealing with somewhat dishonest people. And that is a fact that is undeniable.

Not what I said at all. Pretty obvious that some at the company know about the thread and this treacherous deception you keep mentioning. You assume that everyone at that company knows about the bumper and the bumper thread. The company seems pretty large, and deals with more than just Tacoma bumpers. Pretty apparent looking at their eBay page. Just as other big companies they hire new people to answer phones, pull orders, etc. So the likelihood of calling and getting the new guy that just answers phones is pretty high. So talking to him about this thread could be just a waste of time. But, if you ask for John, like I stated, he is helpful and knows about the thread and could answer any questions one might have about the bumpers/thread. Or, you can waste your time and start asking Billy the phone guy about powder coating, lights, AC line clearance, etc., and just have to do it all over again when he says he doesn't know and forwards the call to John. I already experienced this with a question I had when I called. The person said the item didn't come with lights, but when I called back to order John ensured it did. It also came with D-rings he said.
So I revert back to my original point that not everyone at a company knows every detail about every item. It's best to ask for the person that does. I was simply trying to help someone with a question out by steering him to the person in the know and you felt the need to chime in with a pointless comment that was beaten to death over 200 pages ago.

I have had mine for about 6 months. No issues with it. I have a 12,500 Lbs Tuff Stuff waterproof winch in it with no modifications. The only issue i have with that is that the slot where the winch cable comes out of, is not tall enough so the lower roller doesnt really do what is is supposed to do. But that will be fixed soon. Just take out the roller and expand the whole a little bit, should only take few minutes.
I just want to say that for the price that I paid for this bumper, I couldnt be more happy with it. The only other mod i will do to it is add hoops over the headlights. Also Im not sure if anyone has problems with the girll and the winch because i had my grill modified before the bumper came in. Ive been meaning to finish my grill, but it is low on my priority list.

    Are floor mats a mod?
On the x02 you can mount the solenoid to the side above the motor and it will fit just about any bumper

so I banged up my factory rear bumper on some trails over the weekend so I have an excuse to buy a new one

my question is- does anyone know how thick the rear bumper steel is? I don't want to buy it if it's going to bend and fold on the first twig I bump into.
