Can someone explain to me the different suspension package offered on the 2017 Tacomas?

Offroad has softest springs for softest ride.

Sport has stiffest springs for "sportiness"/ tight turns.

SR/SR5 is somewhere in between I believe.

You sure about that? Believe I saw this debate before and conclusion was that the pro is same height as the others

The same spec guide that said 2017s autos would come with 4.10s in the rear?

The overall height of the trd off road is 70.6, while the trd pro is 71.6.

However, both have the same ground clearance at 9.4 inches.

The approach/departure/breakover angle for the off road is 32/23.5/21, while the trd pro is 35/19.1/23.9.

Track (front/rear) for the off road is 63/63.2. The trd pro is 64/64.

In terms of dimensions, everything else is the same.

OR: has the softest and better for Off-road

SPORT: Has the stiffest and thus sportiest suspension, IMO the best truck suspension for heavier payloads

SR/SR5/LIMITED: in between OR and Sport

PRO: Highest ground clearance and best OR suspension, payload and towing capacity are compromised the most in this configuration.

Interesting thread seeing as I'm still undecided as far as OR or SR5. I think I've eliminated the Sport and certainly the Limited and the Pro.

I kind of like the push-button start which the SR5 doesn't have. I'm also a little confused with the suspensions--- How can three trucks with the same leaf packs ride differently? What am I missing here?

I used to have a sport '13 and I hated the stiffness, I always felt like any imperfections on the road such as bumps or potholes were hardly absorbed, I felt everything on the road. Now I have an OR and the ride couldn't be smoother. I love it. Of course this is just me and to each his own. I just don't think that if you have a truck you want the suspension of a sedan...
