3rd Gen Tacoma Model/Package/Option Costs Master List

Not in Texas or Louisiana

 

Hi all, I have been diving the forum for some time. Just noted this thread about pricing, so tried on toyota.com to see how my dream truck will cost.

I am from Houston, TX. I want a TRD OR Auto 4x4 DCSB. and I got a MSRP of $35,555. Different than then the cost list of $34,705. I made sure the $35,555 does not include destination by complete my build and see additional destination fee charged.

I thought it should be because I am in Gulf state region so price is $1,000 over the master list s Clay7160 mentioned. So i tried to build in another zip code in Boston, MA, then come with the same MSRP of $35,555.

Just wonder if the list need to be updated. Still learning on TW. Forgive me if any question is stupid.

 

I found those discrepancies also, but when I compare invoice prices from the gulf states dealers, versus the ones listed on the first page of this master list they averaged about $1000 more. And I ordered my truck and me and the dealer agreed that I would pay the invoice price . I initially looked in December, then Toyota had a $200 price increase on Tacoma's starting January 2017, so I screwed myself out of $200 by waiting

 

That's pretty awesome you worked it out at invoice. Couldn't find the config you wanted anywhere? How long is the wait?

 

Your 995 difference is delivery fee

Your 35,555 is including the tow package. GST doesn't receive any TRDs w/o the tow package. Maybe the Mass. area is the same

Just used the Los Angeles zip, also show $35,555 in Toyota.com. Tried three different zip code, all the same MSRP made me believe anywhere else should be the same?

Even $35,555 minus tow package of $650, it's $34,905. Still $200 different than master list.

I saw so many ppl use master list as a benchmark to make a deal, and I'm so new here, just want to make sure I get it right.

Already asked dealer to give me a window sticker, will post when I have it.

 

I wanted double cab long bed Sport without tech/ premium , the only ones in the system were sold and they normally only order with tech to allocate to dealers, build in may, delivery of June is what is expected .

 

Toyota's site says 34,905. Not sure why his list says 705.

 

This is the list of options. Dealer asking for $38,916. I priced out everything using master list to total of $38,000 plus extra $500 for nitrogen, tint and other misc for total invoice price of $38,500. It appears the dealer is asking right around invoice price.

Location is TX, this is the only inventory TRD OR the dealer have in stock.

What do you guys think about the price? First time doing this, and saw people mention he got $2000 under invoice, that's amazing.

 

not bad , offer them $38k, if they accept great, if he says it's below their cost , ask them to show you invoice. then you offer to pay invoice, which prob will come out close to your numbers.

 

More info, feels like this is a pretty good dealer, at least he is giving me all the info I asked. The asking price of $38,916 is $600 off the invoice total of $39,516 already?

Did a little google search about the T.M.F of $1.064. Appears to be a marketing fee that only charged to Texas, may explain what Clay7160 has mention that Texas MSRP is about $1,000 over other states.

When you guys talking about invoice, do you include the holdbacks and financial reserve MSRP (another holdback)? These three totals $1,338.

What do you guys think could be a fair price? Should I start with $37,000?

 

Yes invoice includes those. Delivery fee is non negotiable , the others are technically negotiable. At the price 500 below, he is making about $1900 on the truck, being a dealer is a business they do have to make money that's why I agreed to pay invoice on mine. With your deal I feel it's fair for the amount of truck you are getting. That protection package and tint is always overpriced but I would be happy pulling the trigger and have no regrets.

 

xciverz, start at 37. I had a dealership in TX on 288 south offer me 37 on a Sport in the same config this weekend. They said it was 750 under invoice.

No, didn't get it. I have time to wait. I know at some point there will be a dealership with an overflow of what I want.

 

I'm a little confused on codes FP and HH for the Premium and Technology package. I really don't want to the moon roof. I could live without the JBL. Is it possible to get HH without the moon roof?

 

The only premium tech package comes without the moonroof is on the access cab

 

Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee is up to $960 in my Region.
