Just bought it today I did LED lights ordered lift and deciding on tires using the stock rims
I had to remove the 2" because they were not tapered and install a 1" for now cause that all fourwheel parts had in stock. I am changing out my tires tomorrow with my buddy at discount. I have 265/75/16 TKo since the day I got it well 800 miles ago. He is going to swap me for 285/75/16 . Should fit no problem looking at the clearance i have now from the UCA.

Those grills just totally change the look of the truck.

I don't care so much for the chrome OEM grill but I personally prefer a grill that has more dimension to it than the one above. I think the BAMF or TRD Pro OEM grills look the best of any alternative I've seen. I do think the SR5 & Limited grills look better too. Subjective of course.

That's why I at least added the "TOYOYA" emblem. Almost anything is better than the "Braces or cheese grater orgrill 11.jpg ?"

Rear lift in the 2wd Will be no different, something must've been in a bind, maybe a brake, or a driveshaft

I thought it was the front drive shaft. Not very smart in this area. Still got some studying to do. Which is why I asked for advice from him who hasaid done 7 trucks.

Most likely it had something to do with break lines since wheel wasn't turning freely

2wd has a longer driveshaft, so it'll take a lift far better than a 4wd. You should be able to go higher without doing the absolute worst / stupidest thing possible, lift wedges.

I totally overlooked that , great point. I was kind of focusing more on the rear axle getting bound up

Not looking to go bigger just want a little more clearance. It's a daily driver for my pool Route. Raising it to high would also make it more difficult to get stuff in and out of the bed.

It has been fine put about 150 miles on it I tried to put 285/75/16 on today but they hit the UCA with stock rims. So time to order a set of 16x9 with -12 off set

The bed height is fine. My son is four and has a Raptor 50. I can load it no problem without ramps if need be

I know this is an older thread. I just did the same to my 2018 2wd Tacoma. Same issue. Rear end is not spinning free. What was the solution other than using a 1” block?
