Logging is the main industry where I live, there's always gravel on the highway. My 06 SR5 Tacoma needed one windshield in 255,000km.

That tire story is amazing. I once was traveling on a two-lane road (you know, one of those where everyone is trying to pass in the busy direction). I saw a work truck coming toward me and a car that appeared to be peaking around the side to pass -- into my oncoming lane. I was thinking, 'Oh, please God, don't you don't have enough time." But they pull out anyway. Except, it wasn't a car. It was a push lawnmower. Apparently it was tied to the back of the truck, slipped loose, gained its tiny wheels and came zooming into my lane. Finally, it veered off into the ditch on my side of the road and hit the fence with some force.

Wonder what that would have done to the windshield. Oh, by the way, I have a TRD OR bought last February. Windshield got dinged on a gravely road in Colorado. Waiting for after my next CO trip to get it replaced under my car insurance (I think).
