In my eyes @traxman25 is doing everything right. Whenever I buy anything I go by the title of the product and not picture descriptions. And if there's are any discrepancies I send an email asking about it. And I most definitely test a product before making any modifications to it. Except maybe a bumper. Cause that bitch would be too much work test fitting. Lol.

Btw. Love your bumpers @traxman25 hopefully I can get a high clearance rear some time soon

I'll second what Kyle Rocker said, I too have found that Adam at 4X Innovations has piss poor customer service. Here's the deal:

Even if you did make a mistake by ordering the wrong part, it should be in his interest to make sure that you are a repeat customer (but maybe he doesn't care, which is another element). Even if it is written in his company policy that you can't return these Tacoma bars, what he should do is apologize for the inconvenience, and offer up some sort of mutually agreed upon solution. I run a small business in the snowboard industry, and I have pissed off customers all the time. Now, I do understand that the Offroad Industry is completely different from a cultural standpoint and has a WAAAY more hardcore redneck culture, however, the fundamentals of customer service are critical. If I treated my customers the way I was treated by 4X, and the way Kyle Rocker was treated here, my business would go down the drain in a hurry.

I made the mistake of ordering the wrong transfer case mount for my truck, and didn't realize that I'd ordered the wrong part until after we'd applied a coat of black paint to the thing. I emailed Adam at 4X explaining what happened, knowing that I was in the wrong, and I still got a super rude email response. In so many words, his response was along the lines of "you dumbass, go read the terms and conditions". Again, I knew I was in the wrong, and I'm only out $90, but still, its a principle thing. If this were my company and I were trying to maintain long term relationships with my customer base, I would have gone out of my way to at least leave the customer with a good taste in his / her mouth. Not asking for a back rub here, just some basic manners and courtesy. I mean heck, even if he'd offered a partial refund in the way of a small credit to a future purchase, he would have kept my business. I'm mean shit man, even if it was like, "well, I technically can't refund this part, but here's a $20 credit towards a future purchase". Its amazing how far these small gestures go from a business standpoint. As it is, dealing with rudeness ONLY sends my hard earned money to another company. Before, I was interested in some of his bumper options, but now, screw it, I'll spend my hundreds of dollars elsewhere.

    Just my 2 cents.

Sorry to hear you feel my responses were rude. What you wrote here was not reflected in your emails in my opinion. At no point did I call or imply you were an idiot.

Here is the email string. (edit: Read from bottom to top, the top is the last email I sent just before Russell posted here).

I think you have the wrong impression of the offroad industry.

That's like saying the snowboard community is nothing but hipsters.

Now if I bought one of your boards drilled some holes and mounted my foot straps would you work out some thing with me to return the board if I found out it was to narrow for said foot straps.

I think not. For my exspencive with 4x... it had been great. But I also contacted before I ordered and got the right parts.

doesnt read model description entirely, blames company for bad customer service. Just for future reference, if you want help from TW you should make a FOR SALE post, not whatever that was intended to be. Nobody feels sorry for you, but people probably feel you on the bed crossbars though.
