Has anyone had these in deep snow or mud? I'm considering a set but living in Canada and getting into overlanding means there's a lot of mud, gravel, snow, and ice all around. Just looking for an upgrade from the stocks that come on a 2nd gen truck

That sounds encouraging. I believe i will go ahead and order a set. I have some old durtracs that when wet are very slick. These are older tires and the tread is not soft like they use to be. Its time for new tires...

Deep snow, yes. They worked very well. The snow I was on was incredibly greasy (warm sunny day)

Deep Snow, like breaking fresh powder (not heavy wet stuff) they did surprisingly well, but that was in 4wd and I let it eat.

Greasy Snow/Heavy Slush shit I did not like them at all.

Mud, well I buried the truck in the field after the snow thaw, the tread seemed to pack and not want to eject anything. Could be partially my fault but it aggravated me enough to just blame the tires. But even with a lot of wheel spin they didn't want to clean and get traction

Ice.... just no haha no AT tire is really that great at ice traction. These liked to slip a lot on ice

Gravel they do well, I haven't done a lot of gravel roads but have the feeling it will really escalate the wear factor on them.

I have an issue with them breaking loose going from a stop, mainly when its wet. But in the rain while driving they grip well, just that inital start i have a problem (I drive a manual so that could be a reason for it) For alternatives to compare to I would look at Nitto Terra Grapplers, Toyo AT2s, Cooper At3, Hankook Dynapro ATM, if you have more money to drop on tires then Cooper STMaxx, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Toyo RT. There's obvioiusly many other tires out there so do your research and should be ok. I have personally run all the ATs minus the Toyo AT2s, Terra Grapplers grip well, sidewall is lacking a little "wow" factor but they handle everything we can throw at it, the Cooper At3s have no sidewall wow factor, but they lasted 80kmiles on our Tundra and we beat the piss out of them. Those are all my buddy thats a Farmer runs on all his Chevy HDs and hes had amazing luck with them getting in and out of muddy fields. The Hankook I ran on my last Tacoma, was very impressed with them with everything I could throw at them, up until 40kmiles. After that they just had to much wear on them to be useful for anything. For me from high to low from what I have personally run is the Nitto, Cooper, Hankook, and then Falken. I dont have experience with the Maxx, Ridge, and the RTs but theres many positive reviews out there.

The Falkens tires have stayed quiet over the 8kmiles I have put on them, but they've worn a lot faster then I was expecting. I honestly won't buy these again, if someone wants a quiet, good looking, and very reasonably priced tire then yeah these are a good pick, performance wise I wasn't impressed though and they are surprisingly heavy for an AT.

Others have more positive reviews for these tires, but they just didn't work for me. Hope this helps

Got my suspension installed last night.

P285/70/17 on Level 8 mk 6s 0 offset. Bilstien 5100s set at 0" up front. OME 887 coils. Deaver AAL in the rear. Thanks @HeadStrong Off-Road the setup was perfect other than me forgetting to select pre assembed struts and putting the spacer in.

Going to have to do some minor trimming and a CMC at some point. The good alignment shop in town is closed today.

Anyone having any wear issues with the LT versions? So far it seems like what I have seen are the P rated ones with accelerated wear. The LT 265/75/16's on my 4 Runner have almost 3k miles on them now. I've been satisfied in all conditions and have run them at 33psi. I haven't noticed any wear, but with less than 3k miles I don't expect any.

I'm thinking this is mainly a P-Load issue, but I do know the LT versions come with a deeper tread pattern to (almost 3/32 I want to say)

I'll be keeping an eye on mine. I plan to rotate every 3-5k miles.

I usually do every oil change (so around 6k). But I missed it just because of time so after this weekend's road trip I'm going to. All 4 though are wearing evenly at least and no balancing issues
