    Hello everyone,
I bought a 2017 Tacoma DCSB TRD off road in Quicksand. I am waiting on an ARE Overland topper. I will post some pictures when I get it installed. This was asked earlier, but I have a CB. I am not sure when I will get a chance to install it. I used to own a 2004 Tacoma, but I wrecked that in a Dallas ice store. I am hoping this truck will be just as good.

Yes, storm. Thanks. Although an ice store in Dallas would be reasonable.

Anyone planning on going to the Alaska 4x4 Meet and Greet this summer? It'll be held on Father's Day weekend and out in Wasilla.

I will most likely stop by again if I'm not fishing. I went last year. It was pretty damn fun to watch other people break their rigs while mine stayed in the parking lot haha.

I'll be there this year trying to recruit people for trailsoffroad.com. Not sure if I'll run the course or not. That mud pit looks horrendous to clean afterwards.

I might have to check it out. My three year old would probably love all the big trucks and mud pit. The 40 year old kid will probably like it too.

For you beer drinkers out there, which Brown Jug has a walk in cooler in Anchorage? Looking for a specialty beer...

If you're looking for a specialty beer from brown jug specifically, their warehouse next to the Home Depot on Tudor will be your best bet. However depending on your taste, the best selection of specialty beer is located at La Bodega across from Sears on Benson.

And there's also Gold Rush which is located on Old Seward across from the Dimond mall. They have a better selection of liquor, but they also carry some German beers nobody else does.

@300AACTaco How did your Zeon fit with the light bar above it? I remember you had the issue with the AC line but I think those are routed differently in the 05-11 Tacomas. Wasn't sure if the control pack on top of the winch would interfere with the light bar.

Id hope that yours doesn't have that same line there because wiring that control pack relocation was a pain in the ass lol

Did your light bar fit with how the winch was installed originally? I still haven't bought a winch yet, haven't made up my mind for sure on which one I want.

Yeah the light bar has always fit no problem, it was just that the winch couldn't be moved forward anymore to avoid the AC line because the control pack would hit the light bar. The new VR series winches that warn rolled out look really nice, I absolutely love my Zeon though, one of the few winches left that is still made in the US. Even a lot of the warn winches are made in china now, but they're still really nice.

I'm just not comfortable with the VR line winches not breaking on me when I need it most. The cost cutting came from more than just cheap Chinese labor. The warranty is great but that won't help me when I'm stuck and need the winch.

Thanks, I'm looking for a Belgium beer called Tripel Karmeliet. I've seen it before at Brown Jug in wasilla and thought I'd look here in Anchorage. Maybe I'll check out those other places as well!

Id look at the Comeup brand if I were you. I was talking to Dan about winches at GTF and he said he tried one of them and it performed a lot better than his Warns so he switched. Something about line speed under load being much faster.

I looked at them and like what I see, but Warn has a huge advantage by having shops all around the country able to do warranty work if the need arises. I did email Corey at GTF last week to ask about what they have available but haven't received a reply back yet.
