    Welcome!
So, I am not new to the forums and have been around for a few years now! I have had two 2nd Gens prior to taking a 9 month break from the Tacoma before realizing I needed to come back. Now I find myself on my second 3rd gen Tacoma, but this one is the perfect fit for me.

Got the base to my lift done this weekend:
    - Maxtrac 4" / 2" lift kit
    - 285/70/17 Toyos that my friend gave to me basically almost free
    - Method NV's

    - Painted the interior trim white

Then the next day a drunk driver decided to back into my truck.. On the bright side he paid 200$ for my new part

You're truck looks amazing man, I'm planning on lifting my truck for the first time and I'm thinking about the same lift you currently have, the only questions I have are how does it ride and will this mess up my CV joints or anything else negatively on the truck? Also if you could provide a link for the maxtrac suspension you got that'd be amazing

Thanks! My ride is the same as stock because I didn't change the shocks, because the lift doesn't use preload. If you are talking about CV joints I'm assuming you are 4 wheel drive, and this lift is for 2 wheel trucks only.

If you are 2 wheel then here's your link

To be honest, I'm not too knowledgeable in lifts. My truck is actually going to be a 2WD TRD OR like yours, but I heard someone on this forum saying the spindle lift has the chance of snapping the stock shocks. Is that true?

Also I had a few more questions :

How much did the lift roughly cost?

Are new upper control arms needed?

and is there any rubbing with the larger tires?

Thanks for your help! Just trying to make sure the truck stays in great condition even with the lift.

Only thing I know of shock snapping is the use of shock spacers and that's if you do some really stupid stuff haha. Spindle lifts I'm pretty positive do not affect shocks at all, if anything the best lift for your shocks. Cost was like 750-800 for the lift. I did the install myself or I was looking at about 1100$ installed. No control arms needed, and zero rubbing with 33 inch tires. I am trying to bump up to 34 inch tires actually.
