Perhaps we can get a group buy on this OEM system. Anyone they the c3 version? It's without the sub. Curious how much bass you get out of the door speakers. I'm not into thumping bass so it's not a biggie to me, but don't want to lose the dynamics either.

I'd be in on a group buy. I definitely want the sub though.

I'm in. By the way, the door speakers are light as a feather and will not produce much bass. The full reference system is really the way to go. When I took those speakers out last weekend to do the sound deadening I was amazed they were able to put any bass out at all.

Same thing I received in the past. Could be beating a dead horse but I think it would be better to approach it by getting a committed number of people first and then saying we have this many willing to order if a discount is given. They do offer discounts, its just rare and usually only $50 and free shipping.

need to learn more about this stuff
i just PM'd the oem audio guys, but was wondering if any of you have feedback on my question below

I am not a audio guy and don't know much about the items in your two products for the taco. but i do know that the tacoma i bought 3 weeks ago has the worst sound system in it. when i am driving with the windows down (which i do a lot), in order to hear anything i have to be at full volume and its still quiet.
so my question is, if my main goal is to just have louder music and not blow out my speakers, will the system 450Q be enough?

in other words, what is the big difference in the system vs the reference besides the obvious two extra items. what difference in my sound are those two items going to make?

Worst? I'm glad you've never driven in a General Motors vehicle then. LOL.

Hm can't say for sure on System vs Reference. The big difference obviously is the 6x9s up front and the coaxial 6.5s out back. I'm not sure how the stock speakers would respond to O+'s amp. What I can say is the reference 450Q will do what you want and some with ease

Agree with you, but put it at 70% in the rear and 30% in the front. Makes a huge difference with the subpar factory setup. Making due until I can recover from all my initial mods, then will likely save up pennies for OEM.

If you turn auto sound levelizer to high, whenever speeds is above 20-25mph the volume is increased 5-10 clicks. I usually keep mine on low. But off is def too quiet even with the OEM Audio+ system.

Ok... this may be a novice question, but where do I find this option in the settings?
