Good call on the red. If you're both a kiteboarder and lifeguard.
Red? Are you a lifeguard? Fireman? Wife permission?

Hahaha. I'm a kiteboarder... Though I don't really kite anymore. Not a lifeguard or fireman. I'm a surfer that lives in the mountains. Strange, I know. I just like red. It doesn't really have to be red. I'm happy with the blue one, black or even the silver one. I just don't want white. Had white.

They look skinny, you by chance know the equivalent metric sizing? I got 235/85r16 but they're only 31.6" idk whether that's considered a 31" or 32" lol

Quick question... the SR is only offered with Cement Grey interior right? But this is just the seats? Looking at pictures, the other parts look darker, except for the upper door cards that seem to match. What color is the headliner?

Grey headliner, grey seats, dash and doors are still black. I can run out and take pictures of anything specific you want to see.

^^^ No, no worries. No need for pics. I had a 2013, it's the same grey. I can imagine how it looks. I'm not a fan of the light color... but if that's all that available on the SR I have no choice.

The seats are cement gray. The door panels are black with a gray armrest insert that goes up to the top of the door panel(1/2 of top of door panel is gray). Headliner and front windshield pillar trim are very light gray--several shades lighter than the seats and door panel inserts. The rest of the interior is black.

This has a proven engine/trans without the buzzy vibrations in the new V6:thumbsup:

80 mph has never been a problem. I drove from mid NY state to damn near Canada, up and over all those hills. I mentioned on this forum that I could do 80 uphill and someone called bullshit o_O I won't mention what I maxed this thing out at going uphill (on a private controlled course:rolleyes:) but I am now confident everyone who bought a v6 and no cows to tow made a mistake.

The last four cylinder I owned was a 91 S10, no AC/ power steering and a 5 speed MT. 25-30 mpg all day long. It literally self destructed after about 6 years.

I am really happy with the SR5 6cyl/ 6speed AT. When I read the "bitching" posts, I just think meh...

I generally baby this rig, and am hoping to get 25 years out of it.

That being said, the Tacoma SR with the 5 speed MT has to be the best value pickup truck on the market, IMO

Just not a perfect fit for my needs.

    Good luck OP

Just bought a 2017 Tacoma 4x4 AC 4 cy MT last week. This is a fourth vehicle in our fleet and I did not need or want the v6. It should fit my needs to go trout fishing, explore some forestry roads and run to home depot. The truck is not fast but I like it just the same.
