Do you have a cosmetic flaw on your glove box door

Why can't they keep their foot off the door?! Passenger side door is filthy from my gal shoeing it open

 

the rockers and lower doors have orange peel and the stick on anti scratch as well. That's zoomed in a little close to tell but looks like normal to me. Most cars I've owned have the same thing, it's a high traffic area for getting hit with road debris.

 

Until your secondary air pump fails to the tune of $1400 in repair costs...yes even the 2nd gens had issues.

 

Cuda its a coatinting put on to minimize chipping. mine and other Toyotas I have had it on it.

 

I think that's normal. Mine has it as well and it seems to be a more durable finish to help with rocks from the tires and other bits of road debris.

 

there is supposed to be orange peel in the lower sections of paint( not the clear bra stuff) for extra rock protection. Although that looks thicker than usual..it's normal

 

I have never seen that on another vehicle to such a degree. I've owned a dozen vehicles and driven many different trucks for work. It's a quality issue, not design.

EDIT: The internet tells me it's actually common to some brands including Toyota. Not enough time around them I guess. I've been educated. Spend a lot of time driving classic cars and talking with other classic car owners at shows. If they had a car painted, cheap places leave that finish and you take it back and make them fix it.

I just got it fixed yesterday. Because scheduling a time for them to fix it and a time I could bring it takes time. The dealership is a long ways from me and I work 7 days a week (God forgive me).
This thread was not made to complain as much as to see if any others here have had the same problem also to show that a good dealership will take care of you.
I did not take pics because I felt it was not necessary. Showed it to the dealer was enough I thought.
I will make a mental note to take pics in the future.

Oh forgot to mention that I called them the next day and they said we could get together a schedule as soon as it would work for both of us.

That's supposed to be there they all have it. I thought the same thing after I got mine home from the dealer

 

This Toyota number 7 for me and come to think of it they all had this coating. Some where thicker than others though.

 

I was ready to drive back to the dealer when i first saw it. then i looked at both sides and how it ends at the same spot.
