I've got a question about the needle bearing. I previously owned a 12' TRD OR DCSB, and had the needle bearing problem. Currently have a 16' TRD OR DCSB, and I've got what I believe is the same issue. On a cold start, driving at any speed, it feels like a bent rim, every time 'something turns' and it reaches that certain spot in rotation that bent rim feeling shows up. Put it in 4H, it goes away. But, here's the kicker, when the truck is at normal operating temperature, it goes away as well. That's what's got me and Toyota baffled.

The truck has a leveling kit and 285/70/17's. Rotated tires same problem.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, Nic

Not sure about the wobble, but the front diff is the same as 2nd gens, and Toyota never addressed the needle bearing issue.

Needle bearing issue going on 22 years and counting.
