I'll just leave these here energy suspension bumps going in tomorrow. Also sorry about the dark front coilovers pic. I tried to hammer it out through the night

How many turns or threads to get to the 2"'s? Front is done except for alignment, now the back.

"¼” thread change on the coilover will yield approximately ½” of lift. Your results may vary depending on model of Toyota and any additional weight you may have on your vehicle." Strait out of the destruction's.

I cranked them down 3/4" and it gave me an additional 3/4" on the fender.

I have been waiting to decide which lift to go with but have made up my mind. Toytec Boss 2.0. The reason for my decision is based on first hand experience after installing the same to my son's 17 TRD OR DCSB 4x4 Mt yesterday. I love the stock ride so much that I did not want to loose that ride and have had my wheels sitting for months until I decided what to do. After driving his truck today for 25 miles, the ride is SWEET! The ride is still perfect even with BFG KO2 275/70/17 E tires on SCS wheels. I oredered his lift for him as seperate units rather than going for the complete kit (coils,Diff drop, sway bar relocate, rear shocks) because I oredered the rear 2" lift blocks from Motofab.

Still playing with adjustments. It's getting aligned right now. I'll work on pics tonight. But done!

Dumb question of the day, but is the 23.5" hub to fender measurement with the truck back on the ground? I assume it is.

A small handful of select mods.
On the ground with full weight of the truck on it. To get an accurate measurement drive the truck around the block and settle the suspension. Then you get a true measurement.

Yes with the truck on the ground is how you want to measure it. We also do recommend that you drive around the block to help it settle before measuring.

Toytec, what do you recommend the maximum amount of preload (as far as threads exposed in inches) that can be cranked on the 2.5" coilovers? I'm patiently awaiting the 700lb coils but in the meantime I'd like a little more front end ride height

We usually dont recommend that you go more than 1.5-2" of thread on the 2.5 coilover.

How does the toytec boss lift compare to other similarly priced lifts such as old man emu?

Old man emu and boss are going to be very different. OME does test their stuff pretty harshly and with a lot of weight on the truck constantly. This does mean that without bumpers or extra weight on the truck it may be a slightly stiffer ride than what you may be used to. With the Boss system, we designed it to be good for the everyday driver and weekend wheeler. It can hold up weight well and is fully adjustable height wise to be able to fine tune the 3" lift. Since OME has tested their products immensely I have seen them take a beating without any major issues, although most every aftermarket shock will need to be kept up in maintenance. Depending on what you are trying to do with the truck determines which lift you should go with.

Is the boss lift rebuildable? How long can you expect the shock to last? Thank you for your help

It is not rebuild-able, it really depends on how maintained it is and how harshly its ran. I have had my front Boss coilovers on for over 3 years without any blowouts, and i wheel mine hard. Just keeping clean and changing bushing every now and then.
