So I was getting ready to do the headliner swap but my SRS curtain airbag sensors are missing. The headliner on there now had previously beed re upholstered so I am guessing that when they went missing and the hole was covered. The new headliner has the holes & I am looking to put everything back in working order. No airbag light is on so I am assuming the wiring is stuffed somewhere in the roof. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe that is actually a sensor. Your side impact sensors are either in the doors or on the B-pillar down lower, not in the headliner. If you were missing a sensor, that would definitely have your airbag light on. That looks like just a cover for a fastener.

Yeah +2 that's not a sensor just a dolled up headliner fastener that has the SRS logo on it to indicate curtain airbags lie behind the headliner.

Now that I think about it, it's probably a fastener that is used to secure the headliner in such a way that it will give and allow the curtain bags to deploy properly. Typically when airbags deploy you have to replace these type of fasteners also. I would recommend just going to the dealership and getting them.

Sorry I'm not at my work computer or I'd have a part# to give you for it.

Edit: also don't expect them to cost very much at all. Most likely a few bucks a piece maybe.

This is a donor headliner that I will be installing on my 2012. Could you guys tell me the year of your Tacoma & if they are installed on yours?

    Thanks for the replies
