I would think that all the Ford and GM visits were them planning on their new midsize trucks, to get an idea of how they are being used.

Tesla is going to build an electric truck and put an electric minivan's motor in it.

Can you imagine an electric truck where all four wheels have independently suspended electric motors built into each wheel? The clearance...the lift...the control...the steering...

The CLIMB that beast could have?

We're close, my friend. The future is almost here.

2523 visits from Toyota ............ I told you guys a couple years back . Toyota comes here to see how we fix their mistakes .I have the proof .
For the benefit of the doubt , I will subtract the visits by Toyota credit corp which was 18 visits , so 2505 visits from various Toyota representatives all looking to see how to fix that friggen transmission in the 3rd gen :annoyed:

How do you know the lady working in the mail room at Toyota isn't checking out the 1st gen forum on her lunch 3 days a week? The likelihood it is engineering is slim.... imho.

Exactly, plus they can find what people like and do not like in order to make their products better fit the market. I am sure they have also bought Tacoma's and took them apart.

To be fair...it's easier to disassemble the twins because they're already falling apart when they roll off the line.

I agree. Marketing seems very reasonable, though.
