my wife and I are coming to Sedona next week and was wondering for anyone in the area or that has been before some places recommended to eat at? Not looking for a chain but where the locals go. Open for any types of food.
    Thanks in advance
    David

You should repost this in the AZBS5.0 thread. I think you would get a lot of suggestions in there.

pretty much everything in Sedona is pretty good, not a lot of chains along the main strip. Be sure to check out Oak Creek Brewing.

Red Rock cafe for breakfast. It's a couple miles outside of town but a heck of a nice drive!

We found a place called The Barking Frog Grille. They used to have a salmon blt sandwich. It was wonderful...and I don't even like salmon.

I can't help ya. I haven't eaten in Sedona in a long time. Overpriced for the tourists.

I second the Javelina Cantina if you like Mexican food. Get there about an hour before the sun goes down and request an outside table. It'll be worth the wait as the sun goes down over the beautiful Sedona rocks. It's a real panty wringer

89 Agave is some of the best mexican food I have ever had. Mariposa has some of the best views and great food but is WAY overpriced! Also the Coffee Pot doesn't look like much from the outside but is surprisingly good breakfast food.

I always enjoy eating at the airport, its a pretty cool set up, nice scenery and checking out some cool small planes coming in and out, other than that there is an Italian place on the south east end of the main drag and you can sit out side and enjoy the views, and hear the water below. decently priced, and if you're into wine they have some variety.
