while I understand that, try finding a thread with buzzing or vibration under throttle, without knowing what was doing the vibration that was the only thing I had to go on, being it was the only thing I had to go on this was the thread closest to my description the search tool found, being this was the closest this was where I posted my issue hoping someone had more information and being this was where I posted I simply wanted to let others that showed interest I found the issue. If you weren't one of those then nothing to see here, move along.

As you can tell by a couple of posts that followed yours, there was an assumption made that your discovery of a source of noise was also a source of vibration. I wanted to make clear whether that was the case or not as I suspected it wasn't. Otherwise, as in typical tacomaworld fashion people would start claiming that cat shield was the source of the vibration without knowing what the fuck they are talking about.

BTW, you can always start a new thread if you have an issue that you haven't seen mentioned.

Lol.Really ,this is THE biggest complaint I have with my truck.I really do no hold out much hope that Toyota is going to fix it as I think it is motor mount related and would be a substantial cost to them.

Point on new thread taken, however with that said and as you referenced "in typical tacoma world fashion" there is always someone that knows of a thread of your known issue so they point it out as bluntly as you are now doing by asking why your being lazy and posting something that is already posted. As far as the assumption the source of my noise also being the source of my vibration, well here ya go in living color as you can see it in action so maybe in the case of my vibration I do know what the fuck I'm talking about.

I never questioned you knowing about your noise,etc...and you did a great job in finding it out I just didn't want anything to sidetrack this thread which as happened a million times with people chiming in about wheels, tires, etc... which having nothing to do with this RPM related buzz/vibration. So, did this noise you had occur in the 2000rpm range and was it accompanied with a vibration and if so are you noise and vibration free at this point?

Understood--lucky for you. Keep that 4.0 engine. This vibration according to Toyota is a "normal operating" vibration for 3rd Gens or as some of us call them Turd gen.

Mine buzzes but not what I would call real bad. Took it in for the 10000 mi service Friday and let them know I had the buzzy vibration in the gas pedal in the 1800-2300 rpm range. I got the "unable to duplicate at this time". At least there's another one in the system now. :notsure:

I f***ing hate this buzz between 2100-2500 rpm. Short drive is some what tolerate but going out of town is a itch to drive between those rpm! Dealer couldn't duplicate the problem and said every drives normal.. Called corp and spoke to a case manager. She scheduled an appointment tomorrow with a service manager and shop forman to test drive my truck and others. I bet they're going to say it's normal.

@ 500 miles on my 17 DCLB Auto TRD Off Road i removed the gas pedal actuator and wrapped the back and sides with some Dynamat i had leftover from an old speaker install. Very pleased with my results and while the vibes are still there it seriously dampened the frequency of the buzz. About 5 days later and i am no longer hyper sensitive to the incident. I had been researching my purchase for a year so i was well aware of this incident and picked up on it the first full day i drove it. No more toe tickling! I also applied the material to the bare bulkhead behind the pedal assembly.IMG_5279.jpg IMG_5280.jpg IMG_5281.jpg IMG_5282.jpg IMG_5275.jpg IMG_5276.jpg IMG_5277.jpg IMG_5278.jpg
