Went out to the Poppy Reserve today near Lancaster. Way to many people there so we decided to go up in the mountains by Lake Elizabeth and fly some drones up there. Great view, go check it out next weekend, the hills should really be full of color. You can see the amount of orange in the distance(the poppy reserve) between our trucks.

When we did the anza trip, where did everybody camp in fish creek? Does anybody have coordinates? My buddy's bachelor party is coming up and we are going to camp in Anza. That spot was cool.

Also, can you pew pew around there?

When we were cleaning up camp I found brass everywhere. Not sure if it was legal or not though. Certainly secluded enough to hide a body though.

Just remember slight left at wind caves then a right, then another right to a trail off the main road

I've been looking for my .gpx file for that run. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Figured someone had to have it since it's a tough one to find. Thxs Bryan!
So you go up Fish creek then right onto North fork fish creek wash then onto oyster shell wash till it dead ends.

You can camp anywhere in the Anza national preserve. Only place in Cali where that's allowed. No need to be in BLM land. Camping in fish creek is a go. Just be 1 vehicle length off the main trail

Its a prime spot for sure. Soft sand to sleep on, big wall to break the wind. If you climb up to the left is about 100 yrds of open area. Foot traffic only per posted sign. Found that spot with some friends in Dec. 2016.

Decent mellow trails up there and not far from truck haven if you wanna challenge. I would be up for joining you in fall. Too hot for my tolerance now. Haha

Oh yeah most definitely getting hot out there. I've always camped over by truck haven, but hadn't heard about all the trails available in anza until recently. So that's on my to-do list this year. We'll set something up though!
