No one is asking Toyota to reasonably do any of those other things. Making a seat with height adjustability is a basic vehicle function that all the other trucks in the class have, as well as vast majority of other cars/suvs etc sold on the market today. The seating position in the Tacoma is pretty awkward. I believe that it doesn't work for most people but they live with it because they like the truck for other reasons. Why Toyota hasn't changed it, is because they haven't changed cab design yet. Once they change that I'm sure it will get height adjustable seats.

I use a foam wedge and back pillow. Tacoma seats allow you to sink way too low and puts terrible pressure on your lower spine

I still find the seating in the 2nd gen uncomfortable. The cabin height of the floor makes it seem like i'm almost sitting on the floor. If that made any sense.

I've made a few 9-11 hr drives which gets old after 3 hrs but thats just Texas driving. I did do a 17 hr drive from Colorado to Houston in one day by myself that wasn't to bad but agree the seats are not comfortable. I'm 6'-3" and my issue is the seats are to short and flat. The seats are to short that your knees are bent and which tightens your hamstrings and over time pulls on your lower back. The only fix I see would be to raise the front mount to provide support on the back of your legs like sport cars or raise the entire seat to provide less knee bending. Butt numbing is just pour cushion on the booty but I've ridden in an FJ for long distance talking about pain no lumbar supports at all.
