Funny (not funny) how the usual suspects throw in hate options (get a gen 1, a gen 2 or a F150, etc) due to their angst.
BRB don't get a Toyota xxxxx, get a Unimog.

Haters; your negative experiences, personal preferences, etc. are not ubiquitous. Please feel free to make a thread about your situation, but why do you have to crap in every thread?

Haters, please at least try to stay on the topic.

EDIT: OR for function, SPORT for look. You decide.

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
    Get the 4Runner. :D

Technically, SR or SR5 is the max bang for the buck. Extra money just adds extra niceties... but you still have the same base truck.

It's all about what you want. I wanted the tech goodies and OR just scratched me where I itched.

    You can't haul a refrigerator in a 4Runner.

I'm glad you 4Runner fans are proud of yourself but shoot guys... if I wanted a damn 4Runner I wouldn't be on Tacoma World.

I would say if you just want a point A to B vehicle, just get a base or an SR5. If you're hauling a lot and pulling a trailer, trust me, you need a manual. The only thing there you need to decide is AC or DC; that will determine if you get an OR or Sport.

Have to agree with this. I want a truck, because it has a bed. If/when I want an SUV, I'll look at a T4R for sure, but hey, my wife has an SUV, so we don't need another one.

It's not my favorite, but it's not awful. I've actually gotten several compliments on it. Plus, if you really hated it, it's easy to replace.
