Since it's spring it's time to fix up my Tacoma. I noticed some stuff looking a little rougher than last year.

I painted the battery hold down since it was getting even more rusty. Now I want to paint the intake tube between the throttle body and air filter housing.

Mine has some brownish looking gunk on it that's a pain to get off. Hopefully paint sticks to the rubber tube.

Has anyone else painting under the hood on their Tacoma? Intake? Exhaust manifolds? Valve covers?

    Any tips?

My intake tube also has the brown rubber peeling off. I think it is oxidized rubber or just a coating on tbe rubber that is bad. I just started using por15 It's applied with a brush and tough stuff.
