Same issue here. Bolts had to be cut, bushings had to be burned/cut out out and new ones pressed in. Replaced with new OEM cam bolts. I installed 5100 shocks set at 0, 884 springs, LR UCA's and a Wheeler's progressive add-a-leaf, doing all of the work myself. I think I have around $1700 total in it. It rides meh at best, certainly better than factory but I expected results that only a more expensive suspension could give. Live and learn, YMMV of course depending on your expectations. IMO $1500 is a good budget for entry level components and doing the install work yourself.

    EDIT:
I installed a set of new TSB leaf springs with Wheeler's Progressive 3 leaf add-a-leaf in the rear. Initially I had the overload installed as well but it sat way too high. Removing that gave me the perfect amount of rake.

Which has nothing to do with a lift. It just means you hadn't been having regular alignments.

OP, if you are patient and want to save alot you can slowly buy used parts off of other members like I am. So far I only have $400 invested into my lift.

Since everybody on here has to have the latest and greatest. There are some really good deals around.

I would continue on with what's been mentioned. My vote goes to a full OME kit via Marie at headstrong. If you don't want new leaf springs the Bilstein kit with AAL is great as well.

$400, get a set of bilstein 5100's, set front at 1", get some good tires and be done. You cab add coilover, aal, more lift later if you feel a need

    Too few to list.
Out of topic but where are these pics taken?
Also, I recommend aftermarket UCA's with a lift over 2".

    Well no, not everybody.

There others of us who are both frugal and functional minded.

Meaning we don't need as much to do as much and don't really care if it ups our parking lot photo ops or not. :D

Im digging this lift kit. Pretty mild though: Bilstein 6112 for the front.

I've been running Allpro leaf springs on my '85 for almost ten years. I like them. Flexy.

Although it doesn't seem as complete as the headstrong bilstein kit.
