some basic classes for construction. I changed out from engineering. Too much time away from the family. If I was still a young buck, it would be a different story

I've been wanting to catch up with you. Part of while I've been off this last semester I've been on quite a few calls for consulting and estimating work and coordinating subs. It's been fun to build stuff again rather than stare at a computer trying to write horribly long programs to run differential equations for homework.

Haha if I realized how badly my life was gonna suck I would have changed a long time ago. But with only 2 semesters left, I'm too close to the end

I hear that. I was 3 semesters out but completely miserable so I had to make the change.

Now the home life is happy and momma bear likes to see me around.

Nice man. It's a great field, and the program is pretty good!

I'll be estimating for a large glazing sub in the valley here starting in may (been doing it for a year and a half as an intern)

Let me know if you want to meet up for a beer or something and ask questions about the program.

K, I haven't read back through all. Today's surgery went well. Injuries were worse than doctor thought. Ended up with four incisions and some Hardware. Currently operating life on one hand. Will be home tomorrow during the day by myself if anybody is bored and wants to come over, watch a movie, or just be around for the hell of it. Even TW perusing a PITA in this condition.

I got a quote from taco pro. $280 for everything I need to install the bussman rtmr. Should I go through route or piece it together separately. I like to do things myself but time is my least available resource and it being tax season, I defer $75/hour if I work on my truck.

Just get an sPod if you don't want to spend SwitchPro money. A six channel universal with everything included is 363.00 and you could install that yourself. Adding powered accessories after that would be a snap. That Bussman RTMR looks like a hassle to interface with switches where the sPod is all plug and play including switches.

Plus, John stands behind his product like a champ. Some of the best support out there.

I opted to go the Bussman RTMR route. I'm more than happy that I did so....There's definitely that satisfactory feeling of building something so intensive that most people shy away from and pay someone else to do it or just pay for a different product entirely. I now know my system like the back of my hand and can troubleshoot anything related to it. If you like learning new stuff and doing it by hand, then build it and use Tacozords thread.

If you are looking for efficiency, go with something else. It takes time. I had never done anything like that so it required even more time for me to figure out the best and quickest methods. By the time you account for each product (especially with minimum order quantities) and time, it's also not very economical. I came out cheaper than the SwitchPros, but I have no idea how long it took me to do it all.
