    Hello Everyone.

This is my first post. I tried wheeling and dealing to no avail. The sticker price is $26,449 for a manual TRD Sport w/ 44k miles. Already has a bed cap. Color is brown. Is that a legitimate price for this vehicle? I'm not seeing many manual 2013-2015's much cheaper than that.

Note, I took it to a pre-purchase inspection, all looked good except the spark plugs were never replaced.

I'd personally go create an account on Toyota Owners.com and enter the VIN on there so you can check on the service history that was done through Toyota. I'd be leery of buying a 6 speed without looking through past service history. I've shopped for a 6speed before and I was surprised how many of the manual trans v6's have quite a few problems that are reported to the dealership and are worked on there. If all is well with the truck, it sounds like a good deal, but for a 14 with 44k miles, the price seems a little low to me vs what theyre going for on the market. Id be skeptical. Just my opinion..

Edited to add: it could be that they are just having trouble selling the manual, and that's why the price is lower.. My mom bought a FJ with the 6speed and it was cheaper than the others on the lot. She has about 250K miles on it now, so it turned out A-Okay

Also, is it an access cab or a double cab short bed? from what ive seen most 6spd manuals are access cabs, and this could also be why the price is a bit lower

I'm assuming this is for a PreRunner? The price seems pretty low for a 4x4.

The only known issues with the 6 speeds are with the throw out bearing chirping.

It's a 4x4 double cab, TRD Sport. I drove it twice, whipped it around quite a bit actually because they let me just take it myself for the test drive and then the pre-purchase inspection. The clutch and shifting felt real good.

Is the issue you mention an expensive fix?

I just picked up a 2012 TRD off road access cab, V6 and auto Trans with only 29,200 miles for 24. That's in northern Michigan. Don't know if that helps or not.

heres a part that you'd need to fix the chirping TOB. Its actually caused by a design flaw so many people replace them with Toyota parts just to have the same problem occur again

I'd say that's a fair price. Go for it.

Not a Toyota dealer you are buying from? If they didn't do the plugs what other services did they skip?

About 2 months ago I bought a 2014 V6 4x4 SR5 Access cab with 6 speed manual for 24k in Utah. It had about 47k miles was well cared for. It does have a noise that Tacoma World folks are helping me figure out (Thanks!). It was the only used Tacoma with manual transmission that I found that that felt really solid. Here, Access cab with manual transmission is not common and I think less sought after, so they tend to go for about 2-3k less than automatics. In general, well maintained Tacomas sell pretty quickly here.

When I purchased my truck it was somewhat cheaper then anything near it that was comparable. But it was the only 6 speed in there area... I do wonder if they are valued a bit less then the auto.
