I messaged skrankk, but I guess I could ask here as well. Does anyone have opening heights of the extra tall toppers (ARE MX, LEER 180, SnugTop HiLiner)? I'm wondering how tall of an object I'll be able to slide into the back with the topper on.

    Thanks!

How do you like your shell so far? Would you mind sharing some pictures of the inside? I'm curious to see the internal aluminum frame, and how much space it takes!? BTW: I just got the same truck 4 days ago (Quicksand, Off-Road, 4x4, long bed, double cab) and I was at the same dealer in Santee to look at different options yesterday! Did you talk to Adam there? How much did he quote you for your shell?

I'll get some interior shots tonight. The HD frame has grown on me. It really bothered me at first since I believe A.R.E. didn't make good use of space when building the HD frame. I would wonder if a custom shop could build something similar for approximately the same price of the HD frame $500-$600. This obviously would void the warranty to shell. My plans are to run the EZtopperlift attached to the HD frame.

had the same cap installed on my 2016. major leak issues with the front bulkhead. brought it back to the installer today and all he did was shoot in more caulk in the front corners. said the design of the bulkhead was hard to seal. i'm not very happy with this attempted fix.

anyway, have you had similar issues with the cap leaking?

    Ordered a cap today!

Anyone know the best location to tap into existing rear cargo light switch so cap light comes on with cab light cargo switch?

Might have to tap into the cab light cargo switch. My light in my canopy has a switch for on, off or when I open the window just like the dome light switch.

4 sale in the San Diego area a A.R.E. CX HD camper for a 2016+ Tacoma longed quicksand.

The CX HD shell is bomber and takes the static weight rating of the fiberglass shell from 200lbs to 500lbs.

Question: Does anyone know if a mountain bike mounted to (an added) front track would fit in this cap?
