    Hey there,
Forgive me if this is in another forum. I have looked, but haven't been able to find any answers. Nor have I found any online.

I have a brand new TRD Sport, 6spd (2017) and I would like to put a different shift knob on. I have a sickspeed ball shift knob. Size is sorted, but the problem lies in integrating the top of the shift boot.

The stock shifter has a plastic piece that snaps that integrates the ring at the top of the shift boot and everything sits tight. With an aftermarket shift knob there is nothing.

Do any of you know of an adapter that can be used to keep the shift boot in place and hold the ring so everything is tight?

    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,

If you search this thread people usually put a rubber ring around the base to keep it in place. I bought the same shift knob (sickspeed ball) and used a plastic tie inside the shifter to keep it from moving around, then just slid a round O ring over the top so it looks complete. I can post a picture if you'd like. But if you just go to value or something and look around the rubber washers you will find something that will work/fit.

Thanks! Yet again, my search prowess has been proven to be...lacking. Cheers.
