2016 third brake lamp on a 2015

Dont even bother.... you can make up something MUCH better / brighter and more versitile for ~ 30-40 bucks on ebay in some LED waterproof strips, a switch n wire.

 

It would be cool if it would work.

 

I'm going to sub just in case something comes out of this!

 

I measured the my 2nd gen and the bolt holes are about 7.5" while my coworkers 2016 is about 9.625" so looks like it def won't work unless you're cutting or drilling. Didnt get a chance to remove it but pretty sure the hole is much larger to accommodate the larger housing for bulbs.

 

Its much easier to buy the smoked/clear 3rd brake lights that's plug 'n' play!

 

yeah but the point was to try and get the cargo lamp feature on the 2nd gens
