Ok, did a search of the forum and a general google search, and checked the manual, and couldn't find a diagram of the loop of the serpentine belt for the V6.
For past vehicles I've kept a spare belt in the vehicle, and a print out of the belt diagram, and tested the socket and ratchet that I keep in the truck to make sure I can get the new belt on.
I guess I could just buy a new belt from Toyota, and take a couple photos of the front of the motor, and print those out and keep them in the truck.
Anyone keep a spare belt in their truck in case the original one craps out in the middle of nowhere?

I typically replace mine around 75000 miles and just keep the old one in the truck as an emergency back up.

Took me a while, but here is the service manual diagram of the belt routing.... Enjoy.... Make a copy to put in the truck with your spare belt..!! :canada: Hope this helps..

I reach down every time I raise the hood and feel the underside of the belt, if I feel cracks I get it replaced.

In my 2007, I finally replaced it at 130,000 miles. It really didn't need to be replaced.

Yes, in a way..... you do!... it has 2 # 2 idlers, the other one is a # 1 idler...... The # refers to the type of idlers... There are 3 idlers....2 the same.
This is a good thing to keep in your manual or with your spare belt..... Because if the belt goes south.... You are stranded with No P/S, or Alternator....and you will not go far...!! It's a flatbed tow for you..!!

I had a similar experience with 2004. The original belt had 128,000 miles and still no crack or wear whatsoever. Hopefully after 13 years later Toyota is still using the same or higher quality belt.
