Hi all, I'm Wil (Chesapeake, va) Last week I purchased a black 2010 double cab automatic trd off road 4x4, roughly 87k miles, completely stock, for now Thinking 3" lift with 285, I want good looks with capability, but not overkill. As much as I like to go big, this is My daily driver so it has to be somewhat practical. Anyway, wanted to say hi, and I'd love any advice. This site is full of info, and I'm only getting started reading lol

Welcome to TW  If you want 3" lift with 285 prepare to do the CMC mod aka Cab Mount Cut mod. Lots of good brands for lifts...King and Fox are my two favorites and are the top end brands. Bilstein 5100 would be another good start if you want to save money

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking 3", now I need to read more about CMC. Not too familiar with fox, but I've seen the name. Thanks again!

Thanks for the specific info, it's always a steep learning curve with a new vehicle. I'm still trying to figure out all the buttons and 4x4 options and when to use what...I'm used to low tech, last truck was an '06 rubicon. Love this Tacoma, can't wait to get a quality 3" and 33's.
