Well, I still have this. Nobody messaged me sending info so I've been waiting to get new coax.

Got my new coax and also had a BAMF tailgate mount remade out of stainless steel at a local medal shop to get rid of any rust/bad connections in the circuit. Still shows off the scale SWR on channels 1 and 40. I don't get it. My plastic washer is in the right place, and testing continuity between the various areas, I have continuity where I should and don't have it where I shouldn't. Maybe I'm just not testing it right :notsure:.

I'm gonna see if I can find some local cb guys to assist with tuning. Whoever wants this, PM your info.

I saw a video saying you need to be out in open land with nothing around you to properly tune, is that true? I live in Nashville so it's hard.

I just drove out to a lake last time I did mine, parked in an open parking lot next to the water and it worked well.

Then the next month I broke that antenna which is why Im up next on this thing lol

Wish I had a picture to show you. There were tall buildings there but not very close. I live in a city, so I know what you mean about it being difficult to find a place.
maybe even a school parking lot or parking near a playing field. Parking near large bodies of water.

This helps a lot! I need to repair my coax cable and then I can retune my CB. I have a 9" patch cable for SWR testing. Once I'm done I'll add my little SWR meter to the bin.
