My truck has 20k miles. Runs better than ever with each transmission TSB a further improvement. No reason you can't expect as many or more miles out of your truck/transmission than other vehicles on the road.

I've owned my truck for 7 months now and haven't had a single issue is all I'm saying. There are many more 3rd gen owners in my boat than there are in the "sky is falling" camp.

Probably but of course we don't have any hard evidence or data to really back that up... but yeah there are more people driving Dodge and Fords without issues than those driving Ford or Dodge with issues. If the ratio were flipped the manufacturer would be quickly bankrupt. So rather than compare to other manufacturers, is Toyota falling below their OWN standard for this generation? I think an argument could be made for that.

Is this where toyota reliability comes from? People are impressed that a 10k mile transmission was able to handle 45 minutes of driving around town "like a champ"?

    Lol. Just....lol.

I thought you had "better things to do than to come on here and talk about it" respectfully this forum is called "Tacoma World" not " Only people having good luck with their Tacoma world" I think some of the main reasons or purpose of a forum like this is to spark friendly debate, share ideas, and maybe just maybe be a learning experience. Trust me I would "love" nothing more to share positive things about my truck instead of the non "false" very real issues I'm having with mine. You act as if some of us are driving different brand trucks than you and are personally attacking you and yours. Well guess what I have a new TRDOR just like you. I hope you continue to have successful ownership of your truck.

I Love my truck so far, only at 4k miles but it beats coming from a Subaru. I used to have a wrx for 3 years. Motor popped after i bought it (not my fault) then they put the clutch assembly back together wrong and everything grenade d , don't ask me how I do not know. But every-time I went to the dealer they never put it on the car report or anything. This is my first toyota I hope it lasts. I always run my vehicles on severe maintenance schedules and in the long run if i end up losing money ehh i dont care. it helps me sleep at night knowing i changed fluids early etc. My biggest complaint so far is the paint coming off easy.. I did have the tsb done and it has done wonders.
