I have a 2006 Taco. Does anyone know easy way to hard wire a back up monitor for a wireless camera? I know how to wire camera to backup light. But it's the TV monitor in the cab that has one of those cigarette lighter type power plugs. I just want to route some wire to the cab fuse box to one of the I guess you can use a 15 amp accessory circuit? I don't want to cut holes in dash to get wire behind the instruments in order to feed to the fuse box. I don't want wires hanging down by my feet. How is it attached? Use one of those pig tail type fuse piggy back holders tap connector? I don't know fuse size. They're small, not like the big ones from the 1970s. Just need assistance explanations or threads how to do this. Wiring cars today different than the old days. Thanks.

Aftermarket cam or the factory one? Aftermarket should have a RCA plug, that you plug directly into the TV monitor. From there, you just need to power it. You can get an Add-a-Fuse (low profile fuse type) from Amazon. It allows you to turn one fuse spot in the fuse box under the dash, into two fused circuits. Just pull out the change holder to access the fuse box, run the wires behind the dash and zip tie them out of sight.

How about that little panel lower on left side of console above my right knee could be an entry point for hard wire close to where I would plug it in to the monitor. Unless you know another and better place without having to pop panels in dash here and there.
