Thanks for posting the information. Did you have any issues when you re-balanced the tires?

I'm not sure who you were asking, but my buddy ended up having two of this tires replaced as faulty. All balance fine now.

Pretty quiet for a mud tire and behaves well on the dry street . . . still need to find out about its offroad performance and long term wearability. I've heard nothing but good reviews.

My 98 has 4 in.beefed blocks, QA1 up front, turbo. My 15 4x4 stock looking for lift and tires.
Sub'ed I'm also looking for tires, Something for sand mostly. Living in Florida most of the dirt roads around here are sand. Also I like running out to the beach so how is it in sand. I've only got a 3 inch lift and am wanting to run 305/65/17 hopefully they won't tear up my finders what ever I go with.

    Also thinking about these.

Another update on wear and mileage please! Looking at these to replace my stock wrangers (they seem to grip ok, but side walls are way soft and like to pinch in when aired down)

Are you getting the spare? Curious if that will fit any easier than 285. Ordering mine in either 305 or 285 in a week or 2

Based on my experience, I think the 285 will be closer to the pipe than the 255, but I think you should still be good.

When I hoisted mine up, I made sure to pull it back and left. That seemed to help. I think it has crept to the right a little bit over the last 1000 miles, but it is still well clear.

    Hope this helps.

Nice thread! I'm interested in getting 295/70/r17 for my 4R. I wonder why Cooper made the design so similar to their STT Pro since they own Dick Cepek and Mickey Thompson?!

Did the cab mount yes. Trimmed the flaps into little half pointless things but they don't throw a lot of rocks anyway. I guess the flaps I have left do a little bit of keeping stuff off the paint . And I had to trim and pull back some of the plastics in the front wheel well. The back at hard, hard full flex it was rubbing the flares so I had to trim the inside of the wheel well as well. I am not easy on my truck when I'm in the dirt whatsoever so if your daily driving it you probably would have to do as much

I knew I should have gone with that size tire. I played it safe and went with the 285/70/17's any regrets? any major rubbing? shit looks sweet though nice work my friend.

Thanks. All my rubbing got cut away after my last wheeling trip on my rear fender flares, see a couple posts back, trimmed and moved a bunch of plastics . Gas mileage was the only real regret. I now have a set of falcon wildpeaks for my non offroad- road trips just to save on gas. And in high speed sand it floats a bit to easy with this wide of a tire. Haven't come close to getting stuck yet though

I've had the Cepek EC for 4 months now and no one can balance them for Dick. Pun intended. Went to 2 different firestones and one 4x4 shop and same vibration at 45-55mph. Same two tires. The other two just took 8oz and 10oz as per the last tech. But again, these were all shops in Miami - the capital of morons and laziness. Just moved to Fort Worth and going to try one more shop here.
