    This was earlier today. Cats always act like they want a squirrel sammich when there is glass between them, until there isn't, then the squirrel calls the bluff and the cat doesn't quite know what to do.

    I can't count the times we've found just a tail on our front porch.

    One time, he left the entire lower half, sitting on its haunches, everything from the waist up gone.

    Mine aren't bright enough or fast enough to catch squirrels. Gophers, mice and voles on the other hand... all day every day they get at least one.

    Depends on the squirrel. There were these giant red squirrels in the north Georgia mountains where my grandfather lived that were the size of his Siamese. Bo scratched squirrels off his hunting list after two failed attempts. He'd dig moles up, though. Crazy cat, thought it was a dog.
