My 2014 Tacoma TRD suspension is so stiff that it hurts my back when I hit bumps such as a dip for speed control even at slow speeds. My mech. friend thinks the leaf springs aren't being compressed at all. Has anyone experienced this, and if so is there something I can do. It goes down the road great as long as there aren't any bumps.

Check the contact plate where the bump stop would hit the frame. I'd be less surprised if what you're feeling is the springs completely bottoming out and hitting the firm bump stop.

Leaf springs in this truck suck. Stock ones flatten out with heavy use pretty fast. Doubt its the leaf springs.

The ride in the Sport is probably my favorite part of this truck.
Are you not used to a truck?

You want your fillings knocked out go drive a Ford XL trim level lol.

The previous owners put air bags on and a trailer brake. probably hauled something. I have only driven trucks, but this is my first short box toyota. just looking for tips to ease it up a bit. Never had a full size any where near the way this one is. i do feel that the springs could be flat it seems more like bottoming out than non compression. i have tried the airbags at 35 all the way down to 2 psi. not much difference.
