Anybody have any idea what kind of pins I need for these connectors in my canopy? I'd like to use the 12V aux fuse provided, but did not receive any extra pins to stick in there...

I shot off a 'contact us' form to Century to see if they can answer it, but with the wealth of knowledge of everybody here I figure someone might be able to tell me much quicker.

I don't know the name, but they're round pins.

MRO Electronic Supply Ltd in Burnaby sells the pins as well as the tool to remove them from this connector. The pins will be about a dollar each, and the removal tool was $10-12 or so.

Also, just because there are empty pin locations in the connector does not mean you can just jam some pins in there and have 12V. The pins need to be connected on the receiving (female) side, too. And keep in mind that the total current draw of all your accessories should be less than what the wire running to the battery is rated for (same goes for all wires/connectors/fuses in between). I'm generally wary of running multiple accessories off a single fuse.

One more thing - unless the installers went above and beyond, these connectors will not have a "switched" (ie. on when the truck is on, off when the truck is off) 12V source. I specifically asked my installers (Cap It in Surrey) to set this up for me (my Leer is identical to your cap), they said they did, and in reality they didn't do shit.

Haha yes thanks, I have yet to test that the connections go all the way through the fuse box by default but I ran the 12V feed from the battery myself with an in-line fuse since I didn't want to pay them $150 to do it. It connects to the fuse box to provide constant power for the interior light, but need to verify that the power also goes to this output... from the wiring diagram I assume it does. The fuse box did actually include a 10A fuse for the AUX location as well which surprised me.

I'll go check out MRO soon, doing some work at Trev Deeley the last few days so it's pretty damn convenient!

So the guy at MRO came out and looked at the connector, then just gave me 3 pairs of pins that might work. 2 of the pairs should be good...

But when I got home and looked at the wiring diagram again the dome light and 12v aux are fed in seperately, so now I need a new run to the battery and the female pin for the feed connector, damn!!

That's about what I would have expected

Just run a new, thick cable (2awg or so) and mount a new fuse box on the bed. You'll be set for life.

To expand on that, just additional led strip lighting (RGB so I can do white or red typically) as it's fucking dark in the canopy!
