since my OEM leaf springs are pretty much flat i was gonna pick up a whole Old Man Emu/Dakar setup.

That's what I've got in the rear. Best bang for your buck with OME IMO

Having some issues with the truck. It's been a bitch to start last few days. Had to use the clutch cancel button to get her to start (rather nifty little fucker). Anyway this morning I go to start Deet up and head to work in Hiram and the SOB STAYS IN GEAR and wont come the fuck out. im PANICKING because im on a hill. I reverse down about 15 ft cut the rear to the left and then arrange myself in the right direction to head out of the apartment complex. THIS ho wants to stay in reverse and WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE all the way down to the fucking dumpster and i gotta quick pull the parking brake handle and let it choke itself out and stall. Neighbors looking at me like NOOB YOU CANT DRIVE STICK. EAT ME my truck is old and crusty. I love her so fwakouf.

Anyway my lead tech at works says he thinks its the clutch master and slave. reasonable enough for the aisin branded stuff on rockauto. Before i go that route tho i saw on a few threads about shifter bushings? Was thinking of just picking up a short shifter. i basically have a big blue canoe in traffic with how much play the shifter has. Does URD or any other manufacturer HAVE something for a 96 4wd 2.7? I see a ton of reviews for 2nd gens but have yet to see any 1st gen folks run one or post about it. been googling for like 2 hours. HALP. I need this shit fixed ASAP. I gotta basically 4k dump at every stop to get moving.

YES WE TRIED BLEEDING THE CLUTCH. I dont think its a full on clutch replacement or internal trans issue yet. -_____________- long day is long. Y U DO DIS DEET.

Did a ton of research. Got no answers from anyone. Fuck it. Just ordered a ton of stuff and hope its what i need. The lack of responses from several vendors really has me a bit pissed but whatever. Ill deal. Rockauto and Marlin Crawler better send the corrrect stuff ASAP. Not up for the fuckfuck games after charging that much in shipping >_<

brand new clutch master, slave, HD shifter bushings (seat and socket), and a small braided line that i guess replaces some flexible rubber shit under the truck. figure the rest of the lines between clutch master slave is gonna be a hard line. hopefully that isn't FUBAR. I've been driving the truck as is and pumping clutch like a madman to get it to go into 1st and reverse. hope it hasn't nuked my clutch at all i dont have the funds to redo all that at this time -_- come on Deet give me a break. i promise one day I'll wash you LOL

Had to do the install for the shifter bushings in the Oreilly parking lot. Not fun. Truck was LOCKED in 1st/reverse at different times. Bushing was NUKED. Here is a video for those that care. Not many will lol. Anyway it shifts so much better. Now to get the stupid hydraulic issue fixed and i might give a damn enough to start taking care of the truck more

So you were just talking about the clear bushing that goes on the ball? Glad it feels better now. What hydraulic issue?

I replaced both clear socket and the seat. Under 20 for both from Marlin crawler. Both clutch master and slave Aisin brand from rockauto waiting to go in. Original shit the bed at 202k. No amount of bleeding will fix it. The seat/socket fixed the loose shifter and popping out of fear. The master and slave will fix going INTO gear. Sometimes I have no pedal sometimes I have half a pedal or gotta double and triple clutch to get pressure to move the shifter haha.

Just be supportive and tell your trans not to be afraid and it will stop popping out of fear!

Got the Clutch Master and Slave installed today. Didn't have time to install the braided line. Truck feels brand new. Gotta adjust the pedal a bit but I'm no longer shitting bricks in traffic wondering if this pile is gonna just up and die at me stuck in a gear with me forcing my full weight on the stick praying it pops out of gear. Don't want to bend a shift fork -_-.

Next upgrade is being planned. I NEEEEED tires. But i also dont want to buy them twice. So much needs to get done on this truck :( Been milking it since i bought it. Realized today i need to get new UCAs to fit the size i want. Also need lift to fit the tires. FML lol.

I don't think there are many things in normal modern American life as stressful as the daily driven project car....

Bruh you not lying hahaha. Since funds are sparse I'm fixing only what NEEDS to be fixed right now. Thinking as much as I DON'T like it I may buy a garbage ass block lift and spacers to give me the clearance/lift I need to clear 285/75/16s.

Well, I was all set to purchase my lift from Headstrong when they reopen. Life kicked me in the sack and I woke up to 1 flat, and the other well on its way. Got an appointment tomorrow with a local place to get some 265/75/16 ST Maxx thrown on those craigslist wheels. I wanted to hold off on tires as long as possible and get the lift FIRST, so I can run a bigger size. Unfortunately, my tires are ancient, dry rotted and gave up the ghost. I got like 3 tubes of fix a flat and aired them up to like 55PSI. Hopefully, they hold out until tomorrow. Washed the truck today for the first time since I've owned it. Probably its first wash in 20 years. Dumped like 7 cans of heavy gel like degreaser under the engine and under carriage before i took it through. Here's a video. Nothing special. Old beat pile in a car wash lol. I just think those automated things are neat.
