Nice, I was down there last month meeting with a couple marina's I do business with. Had lunch at Coconut's, I was suprised they had Cobia on the menu.

 

Hmm never heard of it but I'll check it out if I see it. Moved down almost 3 years ago now but work away from home half the year so still exploring the area!

 

This is the absolute best way to cut sheet metal. Small, easy to handle/see what you are doing, produces a clean cut, very maneuverable, and can make sharp or very gradual turns with ease. All you need is an air compressor that can keep up with it.

 

Dremel makes a similar attachment, may not work as good but an option for some.

 

Yo @allenfab, would you be able to bend up some tube to make headlight hoops for my pelfrey hybrid bumper? If so how much would it cost me?

 

Harbor Freight does an electric body saw for 35 bucks, might be an option if you don't have a compressor that would keep up with the air version.

 

I'm still contemplating and have to get rims first but I don't want to worry about flexing offroad because I like the skinny petal

So I got a small leak in the gheenoe, have you had any experience with patching yours up?

 

No, haven't had to do any fiberglass work yet. But, I think you can get a basic fiberglass repair kit at West Marine. You could also go on microskiff.com and ask, they seem to be a pretty helpful bunch.

yes, I can see the hole on the bottom, towards the middle

pro tip: that little cylinder with the 4 holes in it that you welded to the tongue for the jack; get another one and either mount it on top of the tongue, or up higher on the body of the trailer. that will get the jack completely out of the way and keep you from bending up the handle or damaging the entire jack when you wheel with it. I've gone through a couple of jacks because of that.....
