I went BAMF, great product, quality design. If I lived on the east coast I'd likely go Mobtown but being on the left coast BAMF was closer.

I went with 4xInnovations and had them powder coated
and welded on at a local Off Road shop (Mule Expedition Outfitters).
It's hard to tell from the pictures but they angle up slightly so they are less likely to hang up on obstacles and provide great rocker protection.
The kick-outs are a great place to step when it's time to deploy my roof top tent as well.
Very happy with them : )

I have metal tech from OPOR(outpost off road). Have step plates and look great. Solid as a rock. About $180 dollars shipping from Oregon(if I remember right) to texas. Took about 3 weeks to get them. Sorry, I don't have any photos in this computer to post.
There are photos in the Post Your gen 3 white Tacoma thread...somewhere.

I guess we are dealing with elementary education here. Research physics and civil engineering, and you should be good to go.

C-clamp design should give it away.

You cant just say...Look at this, this is the best.

It doesn't say WHY it is the best. Just alot of theoretics that i haven't seen as an issue on other sliders to begin with.

Dont get me wrong they are great looking sliders, But to say they are the best, without any real information other than being overbuilt, isn't really fair to other MFG (which doesn't really matter in the long run, as this is all marketing anyways)

To do it right, it would need FEA of this and other MFG sliders in different fatigue/failure tests to really be an actual statement

But, like i said. It's all marketing anyways

A link was provided, if you don't understand it then maybe you should educate yourself. A studious student needs no teacher. Mobtown features a C-clamp design unlike any other manufacturer. When a slider takes enough abuse often the frame will fail, C-clamp is not only stronger but helps negate frame failure.

    Multiple examples of said failures?

I just bought a tacoma 3 weeks ago, while i do have a background in design and engineering in general, I have seen nothing in my searching to suggest frame failures from sliders.

I could probably write a thesis paper on bolt on slider mounting systems. We spent a lot of time working out our system.
They are certainly stout, and for good reason.

We have done a lot of FEA on our system and on various other systems (from popular manufacturers). Every additional feature we added in our mounting system was specifically to address a weakness that the analysis showed in other designs. I'd not going to share data, but it exists.

No, it's not. I wish I was that good at marketing. I'm just an engineer that set out to make no drill bolt on sliders that were better than what was available. The features we added cost us a lot of profit margin, but we add them anyway because we feel the analysis proved they were necessary to make a great set of sliders. It's not marketing, it's just good engineering.
