    We've worked out another, slightly better deal. I'm still waiting for a final quote because the parts guy isn't sure on the freight cost...

    Someone has to be the example, right? My last 1 1/2 years in Lubbock I lived in an efficiency home and got used to taking my truck into the shop due to the lack of a decent work space. This is the first vehicle I haven't been primarily DIY on. Yesterday was a comp day and I wasted it sitting around at Toyota. I could've easily done this myself in half the time I spent up there and I'd be driving around in my truck instead of a rental corolla right now.

    I finally got my truck back yesterday. The dealer wound up making it right. I was out less than I was originally was originally quoted for the service and my truck has a brand new transmission.

    Wow what an ordeal. Glad to hear you got it resolved. I did the drain and fill from instructions on here. No problems whatsoever.
