Does anyone have the OME BP-51with 35's

I am wondering if anyone has this set up. I currently have 285/70/16 with 33's and want to get 315/70/17. Just wonder if it will rub

 

Yes... 35s will require some MAJOR trimming...by major removing inner fenders and more chopping and lifting and adjusting lift.. there's an active thread about it right now.....

you're doing it wrong then.

 

It's called offroading.

 

It's called you're still doing it wrong. 285s/33s can EASILY fit without rubbing even full flexed offroading. Just takes the right combination of wheel width and offset, caster specs, etc.

 

So I'm gonna look at this a different way.. No you will not rub, your BP51 shocks/coils while running 35s over 33s or most any other tire size. If you want to know if you will get more lift than standard 3" lifts (icon, king, bilstein, etc) and won't rub the cab/pinch weld, the other guys have you covered.

 

Regardless....35s aren't gonna fit

Don't know about 3rd gen but 2nd gen will more than likely rub and require cmc from 33s

 

Still the same principles apply as I've stated. It's the same truck basically anyway.

 

Well I've had two second gens both with 33s AND 35s and with both 33s they rubbed and required cmc....4.5 &4.75 bs with 3* caster on my first 2nd gen....

 

Aren't the wheel wells bigger in a 3rd gen?

 

Probably not. They may look bigger because of a smaller width flare, but probably the same size either way.

And just because you may have rubbed on those specs doesn't mean everyone does. Every truck is different. It takes tweaking and fine tuning. But what I was getting at was a large broad generalization as you posted was, in fact, incorrect and was fallacy.
