Transmission problem?

I have a 09 Tacoma with a 5 speed automatic transmission. I have to turn on to a hill on my way home. After the turn I push on the gas pedal and when I do the transmission delays for a few seconds and then it catches and everything returns to normal. I was concerned about it being a new truck and took it to the Toyota dealer where I bought it. A transmission specialist went on a drive with me but the transmission didn't behave that way on the drive. The mechanic told me that there was nothing wrong with the truck. He told me if there was a transmission problem the check engine light would come on. He also told me that turning on the heat or air conditioning would affect how the transmission behaves when you drive. The truck continues to do this and I have driven other vehicles with automatic transmission and haven't experienced this. Am I overreacting or should I take the truck back to the dealer and have them check it out? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Download and print the file. Bring your truck to the dealer again and show them the fix of the issue you are experiencing. If they won't work on it, call the Toyota 1800 number.

 

Thank you for the information. I thought the truck wasn't operating properly and you are right it only slips at low speeds. When I'm driving above 20 miles per hour it doesn't slip. I only have 5000 miles on it. I will take it back to the dealer.

i tried to take mine back to get the cv shafts replaced they told me to leave HAHAHA

 

On Monday 22 Feb 10 I took the truck back to the dealer and they fixed my problem. The truck transmission doesn't slip like it did before. Thank you
