    2015 Tacoma DCSB Silver
I bought a 2015 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 DCSB 4 weeks ago from a Toyota dealership in MD and got a super price, I was searching for 6 months. Beautiful truck, super clean, like new, Toyota Certified Pre Owned (CPO), I love it. It had 45k miles in exactly 2 years, one owner, military female driving form SC to MD frequently, that's a lot of driving, about twice the average. Under the hood and and underneath the car were super clean, like new. From what I could see on Carfax and the Toyota Owners website it had oil change's done every 5k miles on time, that's good news. Other than oil changes it doesn't appear that any other fluid was replaced.

So, in the last 3 weeks with the help of TW and all of the fantastic DIY articles here I was able to:
    change oil & filter
    replace spark plugs
    change air filter (AEM)
    change cabin filter (K&N)
    drain and fill front diff
    drain and fill rear diff
    drain and fill transfer case
    drain and fill transmission

All of the drive line fluids were low, I only drained 2.4 qts of ATF out of the transmission (the fluid was dark ). I followed the procedure very, very carefully and put about 3.1 qts back in, checked it at the correct temp etc....The fact that it only drained out 2.4 qts concerned me with it having 45k miles in 2 years. The transmission feels great no issues.

Since it was CPO, the transmission fluid level should have been checked in the 160 pt inspection. It's one of the items on the list. I'm convinced there is no way that happened, it's a lengthy procedure. The tech just checked the check box. I called the Salesman and told him the story about the ATF. They were super apologetic. Since I live 50 miles from that dealership they said have the transmission serviced where ever you want and they would reimburse me.

I went to a Toyota dealer 7 miles from home. They did a drain and fill on the ATF....how much do you think they charge for that ?? about $180-$190 !! They charged 1 hour of labor$140 and charged me for 5qts of ATF fluid. I one of the service writers about the 5 qts telling him I just did the procedure and it only took a little over 3qts. He didn't have a good answer. They were closing, I was getting reimbursed so I didn't press him. I knew before I walked in there I would NEVER have that work done at any Stealership thanks to this GREAT FORUM and the DIY articles that have been posted here. Thank you all !!
