Anyone know specifically what this is used for? Either tow or lift?

I've had this in my shed for years, hoping someone can tell me exactly what its used for? Maybe I can sell it, it looks way to beefy for Taco use.

look like chains for strapping down a car on a flatbed wrecker.

Absolutely correct. Spreader for hooking to axle for pulling up on deck. Smaller J hooks into deck of flatbed.

I was thinking chains for lifting semi trailer based off the hooks but its all rated 5400 pounds which is way to lightweight for semi use, so it must be tie downs for wreckers. It's got a couple extra hook pieces then the one you put a link too. I dont know if I want to keep it or sell, would it be worth selling, or just keep it for whatever in the future?

The large hooks are worth maybe $15-20 each. (Bought a set a few months back.) As an assembly it might be worth $150-200 tops brand new.

I would say it is worth $50 for a wheeler with a car hauler trailer with winch mounted.

Probably just keep for now. Now that I think about it, may need it at some point coming up pretty soon. If not, I've got contacts with wreckers in town, might just donate it for whatever, $50 is too little to stress over. Thanks @jmaack and @Exracer2
